Kevin Thompson, CPA, is the Accounting Manager at Sagemont Advisors, where he plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client-facing services. In his capacity, Kevin is responsible for qualifying and onboarding new clients, overseeing client engagements, and ensuring that the work product delivered to each client meets the high standards set by Sagemont Advisors. His dedication to maintaining these standards has been instrumental in fostering client trust and satisfaction.

Kevin’s career began in public accounting as an external auditor. During this time, he honed his technical accounting, analytical, and communication skills, which are crucial in a client-first industry. Prior to joining Sagemont Advisors, Kevin worked in private equity real estate at Greystar, focusing on fund-level accounting and compliance. This diverse experience has equipped Kevin with a comprehensive understanding of both public and private sector financial practices, enabling him to provide insightful and effective solutions for Sagemont Advisors’ clients.

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Towson University and is currently an MBA candidate at the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business. As a licensed CPA in Maryland and a member of the AICPA, Kevin’s educational background and professional credentials underscore his expertise and commitment to the field of accounting.
